VACILANDO

[vah-see-LAN-doh]

Vacilando is in its eleventh season in 2023-2024, having been founded in 2013.

The word ‘vacilando’ is Spanish, and refers to taking enjoyment out of the journey rather than focusing on the destination. As such, the choir takes a more relaxed approach to music-making, with rehearsals filled with fun, time to reflect, and moments of mindfulness as we remember what a privilege it is to make music together! The group places an emphasis on all the things that make Korora's music-making unique: community, multiculturalism, choral excellence, and multifaceted performances.

I look forward every Wednesday to joining with my Vacilando family and hearing the harmonies ring out.

Auditions are like a friendly mini voice lesson: no experience is expected or required. We will make you feel as comfortable as possible and we're excited to meet you! 

BOOK AUDITION

Vacilando rehearsals take place on Wednesdays at St Timothy's Anglican Church (8420 145 St NW) from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.

Please note that bursaries are available, and we make every effort to ensure that financial considerations never preclude a qualified singer from being part of the choir!
