Korora & Korus Open Rehearsal

Curious about choir? Join us for this no-commitment free opportunity to see what a Korora Choirs youth rehearsal is like! No experience required. Prospective singers will be invited to sit with the group and sing along; parents/guardians are also welcome to observe.
Korora and Korus are both choirs for youth aged 15 to 24. Korora is the busier of the two choirs, with two weekly rehearsals and more tours and performance opportunities; Korus is a once-weekly choir for youth wanting to sing but needing a lower commitment level. At this open rehearsal, you'll be able to learn about both choirs to have an idea of which might be the best fit for you.
Please note, while we rehearse in a church (which is affirming and welcoming for 2SLGBTQ+ folks), we are not a religious organization. All are welcome. We are committed to equity - read more here.
McDougall United Church is locked at all times for security reasons, but you can enter the church via the ramp door on the south side of the building (MacDonald Drive). There should be someone available to admit you until about 7:10 PM, and we will post instructions for access on the door as well. McDougall's main space is accessible via a short flight of stairs or an elevator; the stage itself is only accessible by stairs. The church has an all-gender washroom available.
