Daniel Browne

Apprentice Conductor, Korora

Daniel Browne is currently completing his Masters of Music (Choral Conducting) at the University of Alberta, studying with Dr. Tim Shantz. He has previously completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) studying cello with Dr. Vernon Regehr, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education and a Minor in French, at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Daniel is a teacher with the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District, specializing in music and French.

An avid choral singer, Daniel is an alumnus of Shallaway Youth Choir and was on faculty as a choral scholar and apprentice conductor from 2017-2023. He has also sung with Newman Sound Men’s Choir, Quintessential Vocal Ensemble and the MUN Chamber Choir. Daniel is currently singing with the University of Alberta Madrigal Singers and is the teaching assistant for the University of Alberta Concert Choir.

Having been an eager fan for many years, Daniel is thrilled to finally get to sing and work with Korora!
